For what purpose do we process your personal data?
In accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679, we inform you that at the Notary’s Office we process the data you provide us for the following purposes:

  1. Managing your inquiry.

  2. Sending information, by electronic or non-electronic means, related to your inquiry and the services of the notary’s office.

  3. Customer service, including answering questions, handling complaints, or receiving suggestions.




Please note that the processing of data for the aforementioned purposes is necessary to satisfy the legitimate interests pursued by the Notary’s Office.

In accordance with the purposes described, and always within the limits of the consent given, the Notary’s Office may process the following categories of data:

  • Identification and contact information such as, but not limited to: name, surname, telephone number, or email address.

How long will we keep your data?
Your data will be retained for as long as necessary to provide the services or, where applicable, for the duration of the relationship between the parties. In any case, it will be stored unless you request its deletion and for the time necessary to comply with any applicable legal obligations, depending on the category of data.

What is the legal basis for processing your data?
The processing of personal data related to the maintenance of your relationship with the Notary’s Office is legitimized as it is necessary to comply with contractual obligations. Processing your personal data for these purposes is strictly required to meet the aforementioned legal obligations.

Who will your data be shared with?
In general, data will not be disclosed to third parties unless required by law.

However, your data may be shared with the following recipients for the reasons outlined below and always when necessary for the purposes derived from the relationship between the parties:

  • Public Administrations: to comply with legal obligations.

  • Service Providers: those needing access to your data in order to provide services contracted by the Notary’s Office, under confidentiality and data processing agreements required by current regulations to safeguard your privacy.

We also inform you that the Notary’s Office does not carry out international data transfers.

However, during data processing, we may use software whose origin or servers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), particularly in countries that provide an adequate level of data protection or in the United States. In such cases, we ensure we work with providers that comply with European data protection standards, particularly Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). What are your rights when you provide us with your data?

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not we are processing your personal data.

You also have the right to access your personal data, request the correction of inaccurate data, or request its deletion when the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

In certain circumstances, you may request the restriction of processing, in which case we will only retain your data for the exercise or defense of legal claims.

In certain cases and for reasons related to your particular situation, you may object to the processing of your data.

You also have the right to data portability and to withdraw the consent you have previously given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.
